ESG

Responsible growth based on safety, efficiency and transparency

At Zakłady Metalowe “POSTĘP” S.A., we believe that the responsible development of an organisation should go hand in hand with care for the environment, employee safety and development, and transparent governance.

We build our value on ESG principles, taking into account the impact of the Company’s operations on its surroundings, stakeholder needs and the long-term challenges associated with sustainable development.

As a manufacturing company, we focus on the responsible use of resources, continuous process improvement, reducing our environmental impact, creating safe workplaces, and conducting our business in accordance with ethical principles and applicable laws.

In response to the expectations of the market, our business partners and employees, we are developing ESG initiatives and preparing to report in accordance with applicable sustainability reporting standards.

We care for the safety, health and well-being of our employees by creating a working environment based on prevention, responsibility and a strong safety culture.

We carry out occupational health and safety initiatives, provide regular employee training and adapt workstations to applicable safety standards.

We support work–life balance by offering solutions that promote employee health, physical activity and security, including sports cards, private medical care and group insurance.

We continuously improve our production and warehousing processes, invest in infrastructure and implement solutions that increase efficiency and safety.

Examples of these initiatives include replacing our forklift truck fleet with electric vehicles, optimising warehouse space, creating more than 6,000 pallet spaces and changing the layout of the production hall to improve material flow.

Responsible Consumption and Production

We manage resources responsibly and take measures to reduce the environmental impact of our production activities.

We focus on recovering demineralised water, reducing waste, and optimising processes and infrastructure to meet environmental requirements.

Climate
Action

We are taking steps to reduce the impact of our operations on the climate.

We aim to achieve a 100% share of green energy by 2030. We are also calculating our Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon footprint and plan to extend the analysis to Scope 3 in 2027.

We are also preparing the Company for ESG reporting in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards.

A strategic approach to ESG

We regard ESG as an integral part of the organisation’s development and the Company’s long-term management.

Double materiality assessment

We are conducting a double materiality assessment, which is an important part of preparing the organisation for ESG reporting in accordance with the ESRS.

The process included an analysis of the impacts, risks and opportunities associated with the Company’s operations, stakeholder engagement and the identification of the most important sustainability topics.

The results of the assessment help us to better understand the organisation’s impact on its surroundings and the significance of ESG factors for the Company’s future development.

Directions for future action

We regard sustainable development as a process of continuous improvement.

In the coming years, we will further develop activities related to monitoring our environmental impact, calculating our carbon footprint, ESG reporting, process optimisation, occupational safety and stakeholder communication.

Our objective is to systematically strengthen the Company’s environmental, social and organisational responsibility and to adapt our activities to changing legal and market requirements and stakeholder expectations.
